School is confusing.
So I hate to say it but my community college really sucks. I’m still waiting to see if my appeal has been approved and class started wed. Been trying to get a hold of someone all day via chat and phone. I might have to wait until NEXT year to go to school at this rate. I am irritated and frustrated beyond belief. I just want to go to school.

So sunday is the first day of the vampire larp. I will be playing an npc (non player character). The best way I can describe the character he gave me… is slutty. I m supposed to be a slutty as hell single stripper mom. XD I’m raiding my wardrobe for anything skanky and inappropriate. I doubt the red contacts will get here in time sadly, but I do have HUGE fake nails I’ll be painting black for the evening. All in all I really excited.
Hoping to do a Red Lantern for Halloween! I already ordered the red contacts to go with my insanely red hair. I’m excited.
I thought I would start out by telling everyone a little about myself. I’m 23 years old, I live in hell (AZ), I more specifically live in an apartment with my bf ( we will call him Mod) and my cat. I will most likely refer to the cat later as “my son” but his name is Shadow.
I’m female, yes shock gasp and awe I said my gender. But I was debating keeping it a secret. The reason why is because so many people place such an unnecessary importance on gender and it’s roll in society. I don’t understand all the hate and animosity towards people for their chosen gender. I say chosen gender because it should be a right to choose. If we can choose to change things that are genetic such as hair color, eye color , skin color, baldness, weight, breast size, height, the list goes on then why can’t we change gender? Why is that such a big deal when we fully embrace the idea of self expression in all other aspects? It doesn’t hurt someone or ruin their life when we dye our hair flaming orange, so why does someone transitioning from male to female or female to male seem to provoke a negative reaction? Even if it’s not a surgical transformation, if it’s just spiritual or mental we should honor that person’s right to choose.
Some may disagree and start saying things like “it will destroy society and change the way the world works”. News flash, the world today is nothing like the world was 100 years ago. Even the leap from the 80’s to now is a giant step. Things aren’t the way they were years ago. Without change we would not be here. No one would know the world existed beyond their narrow view, there would be nothing out side of the few settlements close to your hometown. I for one am very happy that everything has advanced so far. From technology to acceptance. But the thing that bothers me is we preach freedom, equality and rights for all but deny them to people that need them most.
I’m not some holy crusader or martyr for lgbt rights. I’m just a person and as a person I have the right to feel the way I do. But when my right starts to damage or conflict with someone else’s right it’s time to step back and reassess what’s happening. I will fully admit I’m not a church goer, I don’t care to read the bible and I don’t think it matters. But I do care that people use their belief to push their ideal that you are born one way and can never change on everyone who tries to go against it. That is not okay. I can not think of any sane reason to protest anyones rights to choose. That being said I will negate any stupid comments like, ” What if I choose to be an axe murder?”. Here’s the thing read the second and third lines in this text block. Or I’ll just copy paste for the lazy people. “I’m just a person and as a person I have the right to feel the way I do. But when my right starts to damage or conflict with someone else’s right it’s time to step back and reassess what’s happening. ” We have a right to live, so the right to be an ax murder is null in void. If your choice can honestly damage someone then sure someone else’s can say something about it. But you can not tell someone their choice is wrong if it doesn’t affect you.
Now to take a break from gender, let’s talk race. Being a Racist is not okay. It hurts people, it conflicts with their rights and overall makes you an asshole. There is no good reason to be a racist. Every person is different. Every person has their own uniqueness about them. To lump every single person of a specific skin color, religion,or (whatever) into one vision is ignorant. It would be like saying all blue eye’d people obviously must be Nazis. It’s an extreme conclusion to a rather stupid statement in a very very broad spectrum. I don’t understand the need to hate a mass of people when I’m sure there’s an asshole in your neighborhood that deserves it more. There are things that make each person amazing and there are also things that make them unlikable. Why take the time an energy to hate an entire group of people for something trivial, when you can hate a single person for doing something that messed up your life.
So Really this brief introduction became a raving rant about acceptance. And if you can’t accept other people then oh well. But please don’t slam your belief into someone else’s face. Anyway I think I’ll end this rant here. Tune in to another rant…. probably sometime in the next ten minutes after I post this one…. because it’s damn boring in AZ.
